Public Comments
M McCue: “Piggybacking on something Councilman Gunn brought up, I just have two statements of fact and a rhetorical question, because I know you don’t need to answer any questions.
I think we should assume that high temperatures and inadequate rain may well be a common occurrence here, if not constant.
It took the Village more than a decade to get that last well online from the time it was started. If we have plenty of water, what is our long-term solution to being almost constantly on water restrictions? “
Sally Cunliffe: Flags were damaged during the windstorm. Donations can be given/sent to Sally Cunliffe at 1 Ridge Rd, Foxfire, NC., also there will be a donation box setup for Flags at the upcoming Oct. 10th Foxfire Vendors Fair at the FoxBrew.
Aqua Pools Repair
Council Member Frusco: I am making a motion that we approve Aqua Pools doing the repair and getting it scheduled at the $4,860, subject to a conversation that our mayor has with the county. All voted to approve.
Pool Repair Discussion
During the discussion, all agreed that approving the $4,860 repair does not mean the Village is giving the “go-ahead” to continue with the overall repair or renovation of the pool.
