Two Key Foxfire Village Leaders Resign Within Weeks
Foxfire Village has experienced a second major leadership change in just a matter of weeks, following the resignation of Councilman Kevin J. Robbins.
On Monday, August 3, the Village posted notice of an emergency meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, for the sole purpose of considering and accepting the resignation of a council member. The notice does not identify the member by name, although Mr. Robbins publicly announced his resignation effective July 31.
Robbins’ departure marks the second high-profile resignation in a short span. Just weeks earlier, Planning & Zoning Board Chair Tasha Jarusinski stepped down from her position. Jarusinski had served on the board since 2022 and chaired it during a period that included several important development and zoning matters.
Together, the two resignations leave simultaneous vacancies in two of Foxfire’s most visible leadership roles — an unusual level of turnover in such a short period.
Foxfire Village residents will have an opportunity to attend Tuesday’s emergency meeting, although the public notice states that public comment will not be received.
