Foxfire Residents: Please Make Your Voice Heard
Foxfire Residents: Please Make Your Voice Heard
The Foxfire Village Council has unanimously expressed its opposition to the proposed changes to the Moore County Highway Overlay District.
The proposed changes would reduce the protected highway corridor from 400 feet to 50 feet and remove certain land-use safeguards, raising concerns about the future character and appearance of Moore County’s major roadways.
Although the Council has not yet formally submitted a resolution to the Moore County Board of Commissioners, we want to ensure Foxfire residents have an opportunity to share their own thoughts and concerns with the County Commissioners.
To make that easier, the Village has prepared three sample letters. Residents are welcome to use one as a starting point, personalize it, or write their own letter.
If you share the Council’s concerns about the proposed changes, please consider taking a few minutes to contact the Moore County Commissioners. Your voice matters, and hearing directly from Foxfire residents can help ensure our community’s perspective is heard.
